A 105 year old Preparatory School with a very old hardwood basketball court, better than 10 visible floor repairs. They didn’t have the option of re-sanding the existing floor.

They contacted us looking for a cost effective solution, with low maintenance. So we did exactly what we do.

Workhorse installed a 6.7mm Realistic wood look flooring with benefits of a synthetic multipurpose gym floor; hygienic, antibacterial properties. The UV-cured PUR reinforced Tech Surface, with embedded micronized aluminum oxide, is not a finish so it won’t wear down. Low maintenance costs – never needs sanding or refinishing

A first nation’s recreation hall with a VCT (vinyl composite tile) floor, with years of waxing and maintenance, starts to have major cracking where all the expansion joints are cut in the concrete slab below.

Workhorse Sports Installations cut out the sunken expansion joints and installed new joint filler.
We installed a new 3.2mm commercial Luxury Strip vinyl floor (Bamboo look) using coloured vinyl tile to create the medicine wheel in the centre of the floor.

The new floor is a no wax floor with low maintenance, a warmer looking floor that is better suited for a first nations building.

We had a prospect looking to create a private indoor soccer training facility. They purchased a farm property with an indoor horse ring approximately 135 ft x 75 ft in size.
We were commissioned to install the infil synthetic turf system, custom permanent wall padding and protective netting over the entire ceiling.
This transition shows that when a customer is in need of a customized solution, we are prepared to design it for them; and assist the customer to the finish.

I have a real passion for the sports products industry. I understand what the customer wants and that is a company that provides ongoing quality service and products, a company that keeps their clients’ needs top of mind.

I have spent over 15 years in the sports contracting industry and during that time I watched our competitors and how they handled themselves and their customers. Workhorse will be a company that provides the right quality products and proactive quality custom solutions and we will do this by listening to the customer – delivering nothing less than the best solution and nothing more than what they really need.

What makes Workhorse unique is the proactive care solutions we provide by staying in touch and reaching out to the customer, even after we have been awarded their business. My hope is that the memory of working with Workhorse Sports Installations is so distinct that they will think of me first when it comes to new projects and repairs.
